MaMa Mia

Happy Birthday, Mom!

She would have been 52 years old today. Wow. Can you believe it? Its ridiculous how fast time actually goes when you're not paying attention.

I have to pick up Andrea at the airport at 2PM today, but after that we are going to spend the day together. We may, or may not, make a cake today. We haven't really decided on what we are going to do to "celebrate". Perhaps it will just be a movie. Who knows!

So I got pulled over last night. Second time in two weeks. Reason: My plates. Apparently they aren't registered to me. (!?!?!??!) I've been trying to register my car for MONTHS now but never could. A lot of phone conversations like;

GMAC -"No....Wisconsin residents hold the Title on the car"
Me- " I understand that, but the DMV is saying I can't register because you are withholding the title! "
GMAC - "Ma'am, we don't hold the Title"
Me- " I KNOW! ITS IN MY HAND! "
GMAC - " The DMV is lying to you "
Me - " GAAAAAAH!!! "

After many, many, MANY phone conversations like that, I found out that they just needed a Death Certificate for my Mom.

That's it?

I now have over $400 in tickets over a simple Death Certificate. Luckily, both cops said I could probably fit it in court. So I have my first court date (ever!) on Wednesday.

Grr.

Anyhoodle, I should probably probably get going now. Lots to do today! (I like how I make it sound like I am going to get up, walk away from the computer, and carry on with my day. When in actual reality, I am going to continue to sit here at the computer until my butt goes numb. How ever long that takes.)

You are such an entertaining girl. And how did you create that unique background? I'm quite tired of blogger's backgrounds but don't understand how to make my own.

And 52... whewy! You Mama Mia is still much younger than my 'rents! :) Hope you two had a wonderful day together and reminisced some good times.

Good luck in court.

Court ain't no thang. Be polite, say "yes sir" or "yes ma'am" and if they are androgynous "yes your honor".
